Go peep my makeup and eyebrow work in Billboard Magazines Top Women In Music on Michele Anthony who won the number one spot!
A co-worker tipped me off to this awesome mascara by “Revlon” called “Grow Luscious”. I’ve been using it for about a month now and I truly see a difference in the length of my lashes! I’m so excited, I just had to share.
I don’t usually like to use this kind of stuff (with the exception of brow enhancers) because I feel that once you stop using it, everything goes back to how it was. Although, I have to say that I am really enjoying having long lashes at the moment!
From a makeup artist perspective, I like the brush, which goes from skinny to fat so you can really get in there on those tiny lashes! I also like the rich, slick, blackest of black formula that coats every lash with ease.
So, if you’re like me, just go out and have some fun, ok? Bat those lashes in the new year like they’re going out of style!

I missed the boat for Throwback Thursday, so today I am going to just do a simple “Throwback.”
This is makeup I did for Warren Tricomi Salon‘s hairstylist assistant’s class. Edward Tricomi (one of the owners and stylist) demonstrated a fabulous use of garbage bags and foliage for the class. What a fun way to keep your stylist assistants interested and motivated!
This week’s TBT is makeup I did for Lorena Sarbu’s Resort 2013 look book on her website. These are just a couple of photos I took myself. You can see the whole collection here. :)
Hello Everyone! Here is a miracle product that has so far gotten me through the hot and sweaty summer months with hardly any breakouts!
Every year I look forward to summer, especially after this past brutal winter that we had here in NYC. This year I came across these facial cleansing pads by Desert Essence that I used about 15 years ago… (God, I feel old) :/ and I remembered them working well, so I gave it a shot. Besides, it’s made with tea tree oil and I love me some tea tree oil!
Now, I’m lazy when it comes to washing my face before bed, which is why I wear the least makeup I can get away with during the day, so it’s less of a chore to take off at night. In the summer you feel so disgusting when you get home, you have no choice but to take a shower, so my face is sure to get clean then.
After my shower I used a cleansing pad, avoiding the eyes (just read the directions) and it says to rinse with cool water after, I didn’t. I wanted to keep all the goodness on my face to penetrate during the night while I sleep because that’s when your skin replenishes itself. After the first night I could see and feel the difference! My skin glowed, was smooth, and all I had to do that morning was rinse my face with cool water then start my regimented day!
I’m not going to claim that this will work for everyone, but if you have normal to oily skin that is prone to breakouts, please give it a try!
You can get them here.
“Make-up can only make you look pretty on the outside but it doesn’t help if your ugly on the inside. Unless you eat the make-up.”
Hi all! I found this new brow gel by Prestige and it won’t break the $$ bank $$! I love it!
Being an eyebrow specialist, I always recommend that my clients use a brow gel. Brow gel helps to keep unruly brows in place and gives them a gorgeous sheen! It can be used alone or on top of any brow pencil or powder to help give the brows some dimension. I also recommend it to clients who are growing in their brows and have to sometimes deal with new hair growth that grows in different directions.
You CAN train the hairs to lay down over time as long as the hairs aren’t being trimmed too short. :0
Remember: Shapely, full brows that complement your face are the way to go and they can take years off your face!! Many of my clients will attest to that! You gotta love a well framed face…:)
